Banking details

This information is required to complete the loan application process and to enable the electronic transfer of funds to you if your application is approved.

We have a legal obligation to share some of your personal data with lenders for the purpose of loan processing and approval. We also share data with credit reference agencies where necessary, as well as fraud prevention services. This is to provide financial background checks prior to a lender approving your application.

We work with a network of payday lenders and credit brokers to assess your application and complete your loan request. We share with the lender only the personal data relevant for the lender to approve and make a loan offer to you. The information we share is used only for the purposes of the loan. It is not shared with any other parties or used for any other reasons without your consent.

Where we do this, we have carried out a thorough Legitimate Interests Assessment. This assessment ensures that we have weighed your interests and any risk posed to you against our own interests. It ensures that our processing is proportionate, appropriate.

As a credit brokerage, we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis for processing and sharing your personal data with lenders. The data shared under this basis includes all personal data submitted by you. It may include nationality, date of birth, gender, marital status, bank details, financial information.

12. How long we keep your data

Swift Money Limited retains your personal information only for as long as is necessary. We have strict review and retention policies in place to meet this obligation.

Under UK tax law we are required to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of six years. After this period your data will be securely destroyed.

Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise or withdraw your consent.
